Prioritizing

My way of #prioritizing

I love lists. I love to organize my week and make detailed plans. I love having a lot to do, but not too much.

Sometimes it can be really hard to prioritize things in our lives. Since working from home, it has become difficult for me to put things on the back burner. I have this feeling that I have to get everything done in one day. The reality, however, is that I do not have to do it all in one day and I will be happier if I prioritize.

Prioritizing simply means ordering things in way that is most efficient and by importance or urgency. Some things cannot be put off, but others can. Being able to look at your week as a opportunity to make it work for you rather than you for it is a huge part of prioritizing.

When it comes to social media management, prioritizing is huge. Keeping up to date with current trends and events going on while pushing and managing your brand is key. In terms of prioritizing I have a couple easy steps to help you manage your social media a little better:

  1. Plan your social media week with thoughts and ideas for content you wish to share every day.
  2. Organize that content based on the day of the week and ways to pair hashtags, trending topics, holidays etc.
  3. BE FLEXIBLE. Things change all the time, so adjust as needed to ensure your content is relevant and current.
  4. Post daily rather than scheduling too far in advance. This will reduce the anxiety when you need to add something or re-prioritize.

By utilizing these steps you will find that managing your social media is a little less overwhelming and ultimately more successful. Remember to plan for the unexpected and be flexible. Setting aside a little time every day can make social media management much easier and more manageable.
