I have never loved the marketing funnel idea. While it has been drilled into marketing professionals forever, it has always left out an essential piece, in my opinion, the customer! In the funnel, the customer is an afterthought, but that makes no sense. Why would we put the people we want to spend money with our business on the back burner?
This newer concept, the flywheel, puts the customer in the center of all our marketing efforts. Everything we do revolves around them, and our efforts are continuous. I LOVE this. My entire business is built on the idea of consistency and giving your audience what they want. It is a cycle, not a funnel with one big end goal.
