Eye-Catching Photos

When it comes to social media, eye-catching imagery is clutch. Whether it is a photo of 7b0f4070cc812988b6ddc3dc81cc9d5ayou or a picture of a pineapple, it should draw the eye. Having images that evoke curiosity and encourage the viewer to read more or learn more can be a powerful tool for growing your following and creating meaningful connections with your customers.

So, how do you do this without a fancy camera, expensive editing software, or a professional photographer? Thankfully with today’s technology, the newest smartphones have pretty decent cameras. That being said, using a tripod, extra clip-on lenses and a remote can be the difference between a selfie and a polished and clear photo.

Once you have taken the desired photo, you can then take advantage of the many great photo editing apps available for little to no cost! Apps like Afterlight2, VSCO, and Snapseed are great for quick and easy to use editing. Keep in mind that your goal is to catch someone’s attention, so while the image may seem a little too vibrant or bold, this can translate well on social media.

Another great way to get started with eye-catching imagery is to use stock photos. While I would try to create your own images, eventually, these professional photos can be helpful and even spark inspiration down the road. You can purchase stock photos or find many on Canva that would be perfect for your brand and the right size for your particular platform.

No matter what remember that a picture is worth a thousand words, so don’t waste your breath on blurry and dull imagery. Take the time to create content worth looking and engaging with. If you wouldn’t stop to read more, then don’t post it.
